Important Dates of Dhul Hajja
The Best Days of the Year
Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه narrates that Rasùlullah ﷺ said,
"There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah)."
He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?"
He ﷺ replied, "Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it."
[Bukhari]
Sacred Months
Abu Bakra رضي الله عنه narrates that Rasùlullah ﷺ said,
Time has returned to its original state, as it was when Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year is twelve months, four of which are sacred.
Three are consecutive: Dhul-Qa'da, Dhul-Hijjah, and Al-Muharram, and the fourth is Rajab Mudar (named after the tribe of Mudar, as they used to respect this month), which lies between Jumadal Aakhir and Sha'ban. [Bukhari]
O Allah, Master of this perfect call and the prayer that we are going to perform, gives Muhammad the power to intercede
(the Day of Judgment) and the place of honor [in Paradise], and resurrect him in the laudable position that You promised him
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said
"Whoever does the ablutions perfectly then goes to jumua and then listens and is silent,
he is forgiven what is between that time and the following Friday and three more days
and the one who touches stones has certainly made a futility"
